Richard E. Shenberger

YORK- Richard E. Shenberger, 77, of W. Manchester Twp., passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Karen D. (McCleary) Shenberger. The couple celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on August 27, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on August 20, 2021 at Mt. Zion Cemetery, in Potosi, PA. Pastor Logan Ames will be officiating at the service. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting the family with the arrangements. Mr. Shenberger was born in York on May 13, 1944, the son of the late Murry A. and Ruthellen (Earnst) Shenberger. He retired from Via Systems. Mr. Shenberger was a member of Friendship Community Church in Dover. He served in the US Army. Mr. Shenberger leaves a son, Rich B. Shenberger of York; a daughter, Jen A. Minot of York; two grandchildren, Jeff and Chris Minot; three great grandchildren, Scarlette, Faith, and Emmy Minot; and a brother, Donald Shenberger. He was preceded in death by a brother, Murry Shenberger.
