Richard E. 'Pap' Leiphart, Sr.

WRIGHTSVILLE - Richard E. “Pap” Leiphart, Sr., 78, of Lower Windsor Township, died Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary Ann (Dietz) Leiphart. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 9-10 a.m. Pastor Levere Crawford and Pastor Ersel Staples will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in East Prospect. Mr. Leiphart was born in Lower Windsor Township on February 27, 1935, the son of the late Walter and Clara (Reichard) Leiphart. He retired in 2000 from Kinsley Construction. Mr. Leiphart was a member of the former Ebenezer United Methodist Church and was attending Springville Church near Craley. He was a great father and grandfather and an avid hunter. Mr. Leiphart leaves a son, Richard E. Leiphart, Jr. and his wife Deb of York; two daughters, Debra Leiphart of Red Lion and Karen Hake and her companion Jeremy Rauhauser of Windsor; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Resh of Lower Windsor Township. He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Leiphart; three brothers, Donald, Gary, and Tobe Leiphart; and a sister, Gloria Fready. Memorial contributions may be made to Springville Church, c/o L.S.
