YORK – Richard B. “Dick” Millar, 83, formerly of Red Lion, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Manor Care North. He was the husband of Lois J. (Senft) Millar to whom he was married for 61 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 6, 2012 at Chapel United Methodist Church, 3050 Cape Horn Rd., Red Lion with Pastor Bob Vizthum officiating. A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 AM Friday at the Church. Private burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born September 1, 1928 in New Oxford, son of the late William F. and Gladys M. (Miller) Millar, he was a 1946 graduate of Wrightsville High School. Mr. Millar retired from the former Teledyne McKay after more than 30 years of service. He was a member of Chapel U.M. Church and Hawks Gunning Club. Dick enjoyed golfing and was proud to score a hole in one on the 5th Hole at Hawk Lake Golf Club. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. In addition to his wife Lois, Mr. Millar is survived by a daughter, Pamela S. and husband Craig Eberly of Winterstown; a son, Richard B. “Rick” and wife Becky Millar of York; eight grandchildren, Brandi, Amber, and Abbi Eberly, Jamie Overmiller, and Jeremy, Chris, Stacey, and Will Millar; five great grandchildren, Cy and Vashti Overmiller, and Mykayla, Noah, and Maddy Millar.
