Richard Allen Buser

WRIGHTSVILLE, PA – Richard Allen Buser, 60, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 2, 2017. After a very brave battle with Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Richard passed peacefully in his sleep at Hospice & Community Care in Mt. Joy. He was the beloved husband of Michele E. (Smith) Buser. The couple celebrated 29 years of marriage on September 25. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Christ United Methodist Church of Yorkana, 5 Main St., Yorkana, with Reverend Jason Guillaume officiating. Viewings will be held from 5-8 PM on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion and Saturday from 1-2 PM at church prior to the service. Burial will be held in Yorkana Cemetery. Born August 1, 1957 in Columbia, Richard was the son of Patricia M. (Heindel) Buser of Wrightsville and the late William S. Buser. Born and raised on a dairy farm, Richard worked for 19 years at GA & FC Wagman, Inc. before returning to the family farm. Richard and Michele then made the decision to build two barns in 1994, where Richard would work for over 20 years. A proud 1975 graduate of Eastern York High School, Richard enjoyed returning to his alma mater to attend his children’s sporting events, as well as those of their friends. When Richard was not watching a game at Eastern York, you could find him supporting the Orioles, the Steelers, and the Chicago Bears. We feel blessed to know that Richard’s larger than life personality enabled him to truly live each day as if it were his last. Nothing made Richard happier than seeing those around him smiling and laughing. Above all else, if it is possible for one to love their family too much – Richard had it accomplished. His wife and children will feel his love for the rest of their lives and will miss him dearly, as will all who knew him. Along with his wife and mother, Mr. Buser is survived by his four loving children, Sierra R. Cunningham and husband Seve of York, Christian W. Buser and girlfriend Emily McGowan of Wrightsville, Kieran R. Buser and girlfriend Lydia Massa of Wrightsville, and Sadie A. Buser of Wrightsville; and grandson, Rory Cunningham; a brother, Robert W. Buser and his wife Diane of York, and a sister, Deborah A. Leiphart and her husband Richard of York. In addition to his father, Richard was preceded in death by his daughter, Mikinna R. Buser.
