RED LION- Richard A. Vannoy, 60, died on Monday, March 11, 2019 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Debra L. (Warner) Vannoy. The couple planned to celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary on October 13. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Pastor Michael Boone officiating. A viewing will be from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born on November 5, 1958 in York, he was the son of the late Claude W. and Betty “Pauline” (Hodge) Vannoy. He was a 1977 graduate of Red Lion High School. Richard worked at Tate Access Flooring for 18 years until 2001. Mr. Vannoy attended Tabernacle Baptist Church. He loved to fish, hunt, especially pheasants, the Washington Redskins, old western movies, taking rides on back country roads and his animals. Richard also taught hunters safety at the Isaac Walton League for a few years. Along with his wife, Debra, Richard is survived by his daughter, Jeni Vannoy of Red Lion; sister, Wanda Fisher and her husband, David of New Freedom; his “brother from another mother” Michael Boone and his wife, Wanda of Hellam; sister in law, Becky Dillon and her husband, Tim of Red Lion; niece, Ashley Dillon; three nephews, Josh Dillon and girlfriend, Amanda, Travis Fisher and his wife, Jamie and Darin Fisher and his girlfriend, Kelsey; and two great nephews Camden and Easton Fisher.
