Richard A. Myers

FELTON - Richard A. 'Dick' Myers, 83, died on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Mary L. (Laucks) Myers. The couple planned to celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary on June 18. A celebration of life memorial service will be private at the convenience of the family. Born on May 26, 1930, he was a son of the late Erwin E. and Mabel (Fitz) Myers. Dick and along with his wife Mary were the original owner's of Cape Horn Corner Tack & Feed Store. Mr. Myers attended Trinity U.C.C. Mr. Myers was an avid horseman. He loved farming and raising cattle. Dick was a member of the East Coast Cutting Horse Association, the National Cutting Horse Association and the American Quarter Horse Association. Most importantly, Dick loved spending time with his family. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. Along with his wife, Mary, Dick is survived by his children, Gregory Myers and Thomas Myers of Chincoteague Island, VA, Hugh Myers and his wife, Lori of Red Lion and Kim Myers and his wife, Renee of Felton; six grandchildren, Shayla, Kaitlyn, J.R., Kourtney, Kyle and Kelsey; two great grandchildren, Cade and Lucy; and several nieces and nephews.
