Richard A. Edge

YORK- Richard A. Edge, 64, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Jane M. (Condon) Edge. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a time of gathering from 10-11 a.m. Full military honors will be provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard at the start of the service. Richard was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 16, 1946, a son of the late George and Evelyn (Bolinsky) Edge. He recently retired from Prime Trucking Company and had previously worked in the banking industry. Richard was very active in the on-line community. He was an avid gardener, photographer, and loved his pets. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Richard leaves a daughter Jessica-Leigh Olan (Raymond) of York; four sisters, Darothy Penney (Phil)- Huntington Beach, CA, Elizabeth Kogut of Grey, Maine, Catherine Place of Amsterdam, NY, and Gail Christman (Roger) Gloversville, NY; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer-Ann Edge and a brother, Victor Edge.
