Richard A. Blasy, Sr.

RED LION- Richard A. Blasy, Sr., 80, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of the late Anna G. (Berg) Blasy. The couple were married 38 years prior Anna’s passing in 2013. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. Born May 19, 1937 in Norristown, PA, Richard was the son of the late Adelbert Shelley and Mary Blasy. He worked as a nuclear operator for 31 years with Exelon (formerly Philadelphia Electric Company) until his retirement in 1991. Mr. Blasy served 4 years for our country in the United States Air Force. Richard was an avid fisherman and loved being on the water. He also enjoyed camping, RV’ing and maintaining his gardens, pond and yard with the help of his loving neighbors Guy and Dennette. Mr. Blasy is survived by three children, Shelley Kell, Richard Blasy, Jr. and Mickey Thomas as well as a step-son Sam Walters.
