HANOVER TOWNSHIP-Reynold "Ren" Worthy, 90, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Hampton House, Hanover Township where he was a resident. Born in Plymouth on December 25, 1916, he was the son of the late John and Ida Mae Mutcheler Worthy. He served in United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was employed by the Planters Peanut Company prior to his retirement. He was a member of Christian Assembly Church. Reynold was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Jane Jones Worthy, who passed away in 2006; sister, Betty Cafari and brother, John. He is survived by his sons, Thomas, Wilkes-Barre; William, Shavertown; daughters, Betty Ann, Hunlock Creek; Ruth Ann, Wilkes-Barre; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, William; sisters, Mary Lanham, Williamsport; Dorothy Lee, Rochester, NY; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00AM in Christian Assembly Church, 195 East Northampton Street, Wilkes-Barre, with the Reverend Louis Falcone, his pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Arrangements are by Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
