MILTON - Regina T. (Krakowski) Wieand, 88, passed away Friday June 15, 2012 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She died of natural causes following long term health problems, which she courageously endured while being a wonderful example of fortitude and acceptance. She was Born March 15, 1924 in Danville. The daughter of the late Alexander W. and Marry E. (Neverski) Krakowski. Regina was married to Glenn E. Wieand for 57 years, until his death in 2004. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Milton. She attended Danville schools. She enjoyed cooking as well as spending time with her family. She is survived by two sons; Steven Wieand of Watsontown and Barry (E. Jane) Wieand of Bloomsburg. Four daughters; Patricia (Richard) Mathias of Los Angeles, CA, Sharon (Dwain) McChesney of Spring Mills, PA, Karen (Jeff) Metzger of Union, Wash.; and Lisa (Ed) Marflak of State College, PA., 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. One sister Josephine Bush of Smyrna, GA. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 6 sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday June 20, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 Broadway, Milton with the Reverend John D. Hoke officiating. There will be a public viewing from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street Milton. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery.
