Reda G. (Drawbaugh) Urich

Etters-Reda G. (Drawbaugh) Urich, 81, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Nelson E. Urich, who passed away in 1988 after 40 years of marriage. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front Street in Lewisberry, with a visitation from 2-3 p.m. Pastor Matthew Loyer will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery in Lewisberry. Mrs. Urich was born in Dover Township on December 7, 1929, a daughter of the late Clyde and Ada (Dennis) Drawbaugh. She worked as a Secretary for PA&S Small Company and then went into Sales for James Weaver Company in Lancaster. She and her husband owned and operated the Urich Funeral Home in Lewisberry. Mrs. Urich was a member of Mt. Royal United Methodist Church in her younger days. She was a 1947 graduate of Dover High School and attended secretarial school in York. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Starlight Chapter. She enjoyed riding horses and had several horses she liked to show. She loved watching all sports on TV, especially the Phillies and enjoyed playing Bingo. Mrs. Urich leaves a brother, Dr. Charles Drawbaugh of York; a sister, Wava Lauer of Dover; nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great, great nieces and nephews and many friends and neighbors. She will be sadly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to York County Area Agency on Aging, Home Delivered Meals, 100 W. Market Street, Suite 102, York, PA 17401.
