Reba V. (Brady) Wise

Carlisle—Reba V. (Brady) Wise, 88, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Thornwald Nursing Home in Carlisle. She was the wife of the late David W. Wise with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, February 1, 2014 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 355 Church Rd, Etters with her pastor, the Rev. Ellen B. Scamahorn officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2 PM, Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Paddletown Cemetery. Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front St., Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Born May 31, 1925 in Fairview Township, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Maude (Krone) Brady. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Etters, Farm Women’s Club and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. She also enjoyed sewing and tending her flower garden. Mrs. Wise is survived by one son, David J. Wise and his wife Nancy of York Haven; one daughter, Glenda L. Heiges and her husband, Eugene of Mechanicsburg; two grandchildren, Heidi Burt and Lisa Savage; four great grandchildren, Alex and Ashley Burt and Thane and Erik McCartney; two sisters, Pauline Bonner and Gladys Hambright and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Mark McCartney. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 355 Church Rd, Etters, PA 17319.
