Raymond Rivera, Jr.

YORK- Raymond Rivera, Jr., 54, died on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at his residence. He was the husband of Beth Ann (Cramer) Rivera. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with the Reverend Tim Munson officiating. A visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with flag folding performed by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Rivera was born on July 10, 1955 in York, a son of the late Ramon and Onelia (Ortiz) Rivera. He worked as a truck driver for 22 years for Beverage Transportation, Inc. Mr. Rivera was a member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Rivera served our country for three years in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. Mr. Rivera was a Harley Davison enthusiast. He was a member of ABATE and loved playing the harmonica. He was awarded Truck Driver of the Year in 2001. Along with his wife, Mr. Rivera is survived by a son, Raymond Rivera III of York; a daughter, Nicole Rivera of Red Lion; four grandchildren; a brother Jose R. Rivera and his wife, Pamela of Windsor; and several aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins.
