Raymond P. Yeatts, Jr.

YORK HAVEN-Raymond P. Yeatts, Jr., 76, died Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Holy Spirit Hospital. He was the husband of Shirley M. (Rodriguez) Yeatts. A celebration of life memorial service will be 7:00pm Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 355 Church Road, Etters, with pastor, the Rev. James E. Winters officiating. A visitation will be held from 6-7:00 pm, Tuesday at the Church. Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Yeatts was born March 8, 1934 in Harrisburg, a son of the late Raymond P. and Minvera F. (Updegraff) Yeatts. He was employed as an auto body technician for various companies for over 50 years. He was a member of the West York Missionary Church. Mr. Yeatts was an avid hunter, fisher, and enjoyed camping in his spare time. His greatest passion in life was his family. Mr. Yeatts is survived by three sons, Raymond P. Yeatts, III of New Cumberland, Thomas M. Yeatts and wife, Trudy of New Knoxville, OH, and Timothy R. Yeatts and wife, Michaelle of York Haven; a daughter Judy M. Yeatts of York Haven; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister Lois Heisey of Palmyra; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter Sarah J. Yeatts in 1990; a sister, Patricia Drayer; and long time friend, Rose Adams.
