Raymond L. “Larry” Watkins

ELMIRA- Raymond L. Larry Watkins, 81, of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. Family and friends are welcome to call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, March 28, 2011 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Larrys life will be held at 8:00 PM on Monday the 28th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bradford County Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. Larry was born on February 9, 1930 in Columbia Cross Roads, son of the late Raymond and Marian (Leiby) Watkins. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and was a mechanic for tractors and farm equipment. He was well known in the area for the restoration on antique tractors, and was a member of the Endless Mountains Antique Tractor and Machinery Club. Larry was Christian by faith. Larry is survived by his children: Darlene Watkins of Canton, PA, Timothy L. Watkins of Gillett, PA and his fianc Judy Stevens, Anthony E. (Lorie) Watkins of Millport, NY, Jeannie (Jack) Burbage of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, Ronald L. (Tammy) Watkins of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, Joshua J. (Martha) Watkins of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, Treasha A. Watkins of Canton, PA, 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, his brother Leiby Watkins of State College, PA, his sisters: Florence Confer of Bellefonte, PA and Franny (Willie) Barrett of Austinville, PA, along with several nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Brad E. Watkins, his brother and sister-in-law Dwight and Marian Watkins, his sister-in-law Loraine Watkins, and his brother-in-law Elmer Confer.
