Allentown - Raymond H. Clews 78 , of Pottsville died Thursday evening at the Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Cedar Crest Avenue, Allentown, PA. Born in Centralia, PA on November 24, 1930, he was the son of the late Albert and Kathryn Wayne Clews. He graduated from Pottsville High School in 1948. He served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Clews was the plant Manager for the former Mirawal Corp., and he retired as warehouse manager of the Schoeneman Corp. in 1995. Mr. Clews was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, the Pottsville Lions Club, Melvin Jones Fellows, Chairman of the Pottsville/Schuylkill Haven EMS Board, past-president & life member of the Greenwood Hill Fire, Company, a 1974 past-president of the Industrial Manager's Corp. and Pulaski Lodge F & AM #216 all of Pottsville. Surviving are: his wife of 56 years, Patsy R. Anderko, Pottsville; a son David, and his wife Margie Clews, Auburn; a daughter Linda and her husband Don Kerstetter, Harrisburg; grandchildren Brooke, and her husband Michael Kuhler, Harleysville; Jason, and his wife Leah Clews, New York; Anna, Julia, and Maria Kerstetter, Harrisburg; great-grandchildren Katie & Lily Kuhler, and Maxwell Raymond Clews. He is also survived by a brother James, and his wife Peg Clews, Pottsville; a sister Janet, and her husband Bill Freeston, Reading, and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life tribute will be conducted on Monday, at 11:00 A.M. at the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc. The Reverend Brian Reading will officiate. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Interment with military honors will be conducted at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
