Raymond "Booper" Eckert Raymond "Booper" Eckert, 76, of Pottsville, passed away Saturday at his residence. Born in Pottsville, on June 28, 1932, he was the son of the late Harry A. and Marion Brennan Eckert. He attended Pottsville schools. He was retired from Reading Anthracite, Wadesville, where he was long time heavy equipment mechanic. He was of the Protestant faith. He was a member of the West End Hose Co., Pottsville. He was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Stevenosky; her grandson, Eric M. Stevenosky, Jr.; her Granddaughter, Raelee Stevenosky; her brother, Ronald Eckert; two sisters, Joanne Nagle and JacquelineEckert. He is survived by his wife, Lois J. Hossler Eckert, Pottsville, to whom he was married 53 years; his step-daughter, Jacquel Deiter, Pottsville; his step -granddaughter, Holly Deiter; his Great grandchildren, Nichole, Tristin and Angela Stevenosky; his step great granddaughter, Taylor Spolski; his three sisters, Nancy Nuebling, of Hollywood, MD, Janice Webber, Schuylkill Haven and Darlene Faust, of Auburn; his four brothers, Harry, North Manheim Twp., David, Robert and Clarence "Butch" Eckert, all of Pottsville; Many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., Pottsville is in charge of arrangements.
