DOVER- Raymond E. Hengst, Jr., 68, died on Monday, March 5, 2018 at his residence. He was the husband of Brenda M. (Dodd) Hengst. The couple planned to celebrate their 38th wedding anniversary on July 11th. Services for Mr. Hengst are private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on October 30, 1949 in York he was a son of Betty Jane (McGlaughlin) Hengst of York and the late Raymond E. Hengst, Sr. Raymond was a CNT operator at Caterpillar for almost 30 years. Mr. Hengst attended St. Peter’s UCC in Seven Valleys and most recently Calvary Chapel. Raymond was an avid hunter and a member of Glen Echo Buck Busters. He also enjoyed fishing, traveling the country with his wife, especially to Texas, Oklahoma and Florida and antiquing. Along with his wife, Brenda, Raymond is survived by three sons, Scott Weddle and wife, Jill of New Oxford, Matthew Weddle and wife, Vanessa of Red Lion and Raymond Hengst, III and wife, Angela of Shinnston, WV; two daughters, Lora Koller and husband, Thomas of Seven Valleys and Melinda Morris and husband, Scott of Whiteford, MD; nine grandchildren, Cory, Brittany, Natasha, Kirsten, Chelsie, Tessa Rae, Raymond, Aiyana and Gaines; five great grandchildren, Regan, Dylan, Braydan, Jillian and Charlotte Rae; two brothers, Robert Hengst and wife, Trena of Seven Valleys and Terry Hengst and wife, Beth of Dover; four sisters, Brenda Sweitzer and husband, William of Seven Valleys, Belinda Dubbs and husband, Richard of Lebanon, Melissa Moore and husband, Jeff of Dover and Becca Hengst and husband, Eric of Shippensburg; and several nieces and nephews.
