LEWISBERRY - Raymond C. Mellon, 77, died at 3:47 a.m. Sunday, September 16, 2007, at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. He was the husband of the late Carmen (Gerardino) Mellon. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Beaver Urich Funeral Home, 305 W. Front St., Lewisberry. Entombment in Lawnview Cemetery, Rockledge, PA will be at a later date. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Mellon was born March 13, 1930, in Alexandria, VA. He was the son of the late Raymond Joseph and Irene C. (Thompson) Mellon. He was a Chef, retiring from the former Fisher's Restaurant in Philadelphia after 14 years of service. He was also a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Mellon leaves four daughters, Carmen DeSimone and Teresa Coffman, both of Philadelphia, Michelle Sine of Lewisberry and Carla Rae Gerardino of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Carie Dougherty and Raymond C. Mellon-Hernandez; a great granddaughter, Taelyn Dougherty; and a sister, Juanita M. Owens of Waldorf, MD. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Mellon-Hernandez. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society of America, 800 Corporate Circle, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
