Raymond C. Florence, Jr.

YORK- Raymond C. Florence, Jr., 77, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Linda E. (Fiock) Florence, to whom he was married for 48 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. A visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service. He will be interred in Pittsburgh at a later date. Born on August 5, 1938 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Raymond C. and Dorothy (Jayme) Florence. Raymond served our country in the United States Air Force, then worked for CBS in New York City, the former Cole Steel Industries of York, the former York Division of Borg-Warner and was President and Senior Consultant of Computer*Ease Associates in York. Raymond is survived by one son, Brian Florence, and his wife, Tracy, of Leesburg, VA; one daughter, Lisa Riether, and her husband, David, of Fort Hill, PA; three grandchildren, Cole Florence, Marlee Riether and Melanie Riether; three brothers, Anthony Florence, and his wife, Kate, of Pittsburgh, Jamie Florence, and his wife, Frances, of W. Bloomfield, MI and David Florence, and his wife, Emily, of Lake of the Woods, VA; one sister, Susan O’Toole, and her husband, Martin, of Pittsburgh; and many nieces and nephews.
