Raymond 'Butch' W. Boyer

MT. WOLF- Raymond “Butch” W. Boyer, Jr., 67, passed away Friday, June 12, 2015. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Hefner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with Certified Life Celebrant Betty Frey, officiating. A Viewing will be held from 9-10 prior to the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Full military honors will be provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Per request of the family, casual attire is welcome. Born August 1, 1947 in York, Raymond was the son of the late Kenneth and Dorothy (Boyer) Black. He worked as a rewinder for over 30 years and retired from Motor Technology in December of 2012. Mr. Boyer served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Raymond was a life member of the VFW Post #2493 in Mt. Wolf and was an active member of the Northeastern Senior Center in Mt. Wolf. He loved watching NASCAR and was a Jeff Gordon fan. Mr. Boyer is survived by three daughters, Melyssa Boyer of York, Jennifer Writer of Morgantown, NC, and Shannon Boyer of Florida; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three sisters, Jeanne Noll of York, Sally Boyer of York, and Bonnie Reese of York, and numerous nieces and nephews.
