Randall A. Sowards

York—Randall A. Sowards, 56, died Friday, March 13, 2015 at York Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Sharon E. (Wilhelm) Sowards. A Celebration of Life Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born May 29, 1958 in York, he was a son of the late Doris M. (Kline) Gindlesperger and her husband, Glenn of York. He was employed as a truck driver for several years with numerous local transportation companies. Randall served in the United States Army and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his daughter, Beth A. Sowards of Manchester; two step sisters, Elaine Hensel of York and Barbara Gindlesperger of Texas. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Browne.
