Ralph O. Krout, Sr.

WINDSOR - Ralph O. Krout, Sr., 72, passed away Friday, December 17, 2010 at Manor Care Kingston Court. He was the husband of Shelby J. (Fake) Krout to whom he was married for 46 years. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with Rev. Anthony Zumbo officiating. A flag folding ceremony will be provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM Wednesday at the entrance to the cemetery. Born May 28, 1938 in Woodbine, a son of the late Ralph A. and Oleita (Jamison) Krout, he retired in 1998 from Olin Ordnance Division after 32years of service. Mr. Krout enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a veteran of the US Navy. In addition to his wife, Mr. Krout is survived by two sons, Ralph O. and wife Patricia Krout, Jr. of Felton and Mark A. Krout of York; two daughters, Polly M. Dennis of Red Lion and Penny L. and husband Steven Hilliar of Windsor; six grandchildren; and an aunt, Polly Trusley of Baltimore. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Smith.
