Ralph J. Schollenberger

York—Ralph J. Schollenberger, 91, died Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Autumn House-West. He was the husband of the late Grace (Gentner) Schollenberger to whom he was married for 36 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 PM, Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York with Heartland Hospice Chaplain, Wesley Mast officiating. A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Military honors will be provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born February 13, 1925 in Boyertown, he was a son of the late Elton and Mary (Eddinger) Schollenberger. He was employed as a shipping clerk with Eastern Foundry, retiring in 1991 and previously worked as a dispatcher and truck driver for several years with West Motor Freight. A United States Army Veteran of World War II, he was also a life member of the W. York VFW and an avid Detroit Tiger’s fan. Mr. Schollenberger is survived by one son, Garland E. Schollenberger and his wife, Linda of York; one daughter, R.Nadine MacAdam of Allentown; one granddaughter, Emily Schipper and her husband, David and one great grandson, Holden Schipper. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
