BROGUE- Ralph H. Leight, 94, died on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Manor Care South. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2017 Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Pastor Lavere Crawford officiating. A visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Springville Cemetery with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born on December 30, 1922 in Monkton, MD, he was a son of the late George E. and Anna L. (Neuhauser) Leight. Ralph was a machinist for Caterpillar until his retirement. Mr. Leight proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theater Mr. Leight was a member of Springville Church. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and was a former member of York Motorcycle Club. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Leight is survived by two sons, Alan H. Leight and his wife, Kathi of Brogue and David W. Leight and his wife, Charlotte of Canal Winchester, OH; four grandchildren, Zachary Leight of Pittsburgh, Jordan Leight of York, Aaron Leight of Denver, CO and Hannah Storms and her husband, Chris of Coos Bay, OR; and one great grandson, Cooper Storms of Coos Bay, OR. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon and Roland Leight. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406 or Boys Town, 14100 Crawford St., Boys Town, NE 68010.
