Ralph H. Koch

RED LION – Ralph H. Koch, 86, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Virginia M. (Markley) Koch. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Dallastown American Legion, 57 W. Main Street, Dallastown with The Rev. Mark Billow officiating. A visitation and luncheon will immediately follow the service until 4:00 PM. Private burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery with full military honors provided by Dallastown American Legion Honor Guard. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born October 24, 1929 in Roulette, Potter Co. a son of the late James W. Koch, Sr., and the late Ella G. (Eaton) Koch, he retired from Campbell Chain Co. Mr. Koch was a member of Dallastown American Legion Post 605 for 51 years, Veterans of the Vietnam War Post 35, and was a life member of Hellam VFW Post 7045. Ralph loved traveling to the mountains and hunting. He was a US Navy veteran of The Korean War. Mr. Koch is survived by three sons, Gregory A. and wife Joanna Koch of York, Jeffery L. and wife Lori Koch of Dover, and Dennis E. and wife Lillian Lehman of Artesia, New Mexico; a daughter, Lisa E. Brown of Hellam; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Phyllis E. Witmer and Barbara McGrain both of York. He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Brown; and a brother, James W. Koch, Jr. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
