Ralph C. Embick

LINDEN - Ralph C. Embick, 72, died Saturday, January 25, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Lock Haven on August 29, 1941 and was the son of the late Ralph R. and Viola (Bowmaster) Embick. Ralph married the former Mary J. (Stevenson) Embick on June 22, 1962, who survives and they celebrated 51 years of marriage together. Ralph was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School class of 1959. He retired after 18 years from Lycoming County Prison in 2004 as a correction officer. Ralph also worked for Lycoming County S.P.C.A. and was a former Lycoming County Game Warden. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. In addition to his wife Mary, Ralph is survived by one daughter; Christina M. Riggle of Lock Haven, five grandchildren; Jessica M. Riggle and husband Eric Young of Renovo, Aaron D. Riggle of Lock Haven, Sean A. Riggle of Lock Haven, Kelsey C. Riggle of Lock Haven and Dani Bies of Lock Haven, three great grandchildren; Willow F. Kitchen, Liam R. C. Young and Lucas C. Young, two brothers and sisters-in-law; Steve W. and Josephine Embick of Jersey Shore and Terry L. and Teresa Embick of Jersey Shore, two sisters and brothers-in-law; Barbara and John Stevenson of Jersey Shore and Peg and Tom Baker of Lock Haven and one sister-in-law Karla Embick of Farrandsville. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by one brother; Charles E. Embick. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Pennsylvania Association for the Blind, 555 Gettysburg Pike, Suite A300, Mechanicsburg PA 17055. All services for Ralph are being held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall PA 17751.
