Rachael Madison Green

RED LION- Rachael Madison Green, 18, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023 at York Hospital.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion. Viewings will be held Thursday from 6-8p.m. and Friday from 9:30-11 a.m. Pastor Ken Loyer will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in New Freedom Cemetery.

Rachael was born in York on December 29, 2004, the daughter of Michael S. Green of Red Lion and Elysia Rene (Adams) Green of Shippensburg. She was a senior at Red Lion High School and worked part time for Specialty Pets in Red Lion. She was also an organ donor with Donate Life PA and will live on through the many lives she will have helped. Rachael enjoyed drawing and hanging out with friends, family and her animals. Rachael was a girl scout for eight years and a participant of Camp Frog for eight years.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her grandparents, Steve and Sharon Weyant of Shrewsbury, Pete Adams of Windsor, and Bill and Heidi Whipp of Felton; her uncle Steve and aunt Tina Weyant and cousin Stephen W. Weyant; her step-father to be Christopher M. Stewart, Elysia’s great grandmother Barbara J. Higbie of Ft Myers, FL; and numerous family members and friends. She was preceded in death by a grandfather, M. Stephen Green, great grandparents, William and Mollie Mills, great grandfather, Eddie Higbie, great grandmother Elinor Adams, great uncle Philip, great uncle Joe Whipp and great- great aunt and uncle George and Ruth Kucera.
