R. Dean Stitely

YORK- R. Dean Stitely, 95, died on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Country Meadows, Leaders Heights. He was the husband of the late Ruth M. (McAllister) Stitely. The couple had been married for 51 years. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Mt. Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mt. Rose Ave., York. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on July 24, 1921 in Red Lion, he was a son of the late Ralph and Urcelia (Miller) Stitely. Dean was an owner of Construction Welding Supply, Co. and York County Realty Co. Mr. Stitely served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of St Peter’s (Lischey’s) U.C.C. in Spring Grove. Mr. Stitely is survived by one daughter, Crystal Kottcamp and husband, Brian of York; two brothers, Ralph Stitely and wife, Betty of York and Paul Stitely of York; and one sister, Leona Miller of Felton. He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Stitely; and one sister, Dorcas Taylor.
