DALLASTOWN – Primrose J. (Collins) McCallum, 74, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at her home. She was the wife of George S. McCallum with whom she was married for 55 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church, 220 N. Charles Street, Red Lion with her pastor, The Rev. Tina M. Melusky officiating. A viewing will be held from 2-3:00 PM Sunday at the Church. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born March 19, 1939 in Romford, Essex, England; a daughter of the late Frederick G. and Bertha E. (Carter) Collins, she had worked as a sales clerk while still living in England and also briefly after she moved to the U.S. Prim was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she had served as Sexton for 17 years, Brogue Lioness Club, and Susquehanna Model A Restorers Club. She had been active with the Transatlantic Brides and Parents Assoc., and enjoyed knitting with the Knit Wits group at Kaltreider-Benfer Library. In addition to her husband, Mrs. McCallum is survived by two sons, Neal F. and wife Paulina McCallum of Youngstown, OH and Bruce C. and wife Joanie McCallum of King of Prussia; two grandchildren, John and Daniel McCallum; and three great grandchildren, Nona, Autumn, and Avelyn McCallum. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, c/o Organ and Steeple Fund, 220 N. Charles St., Red Lion, PA 17356.
