Preston W. Olphin

DALLASTOWN - Preston W. Olphin, 75, was ushered into heaven on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Manor Care Dallastown, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Linda C. (Dinterman) Olphin. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 6th. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion, with the Reverend Kathy Harvey Nelson officiating. A viewing will be from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Salem Community Cemetery. Born on August 25, 1938 in Lower Windsor, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Mary (Hake) Olphin. Preston worked for Zarfos Furniture Store in Red Lion for 30 years until his retirement in 2000. Mr. Olphin was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. Along with his wife, Linda, Preston is survived by two sons, Jonathan Olphin of Dallastown and Matthew Olphin and his wife, Jamie of Dallastown; and one granddaughter, Hannah Olphin.
