Preston L. Troup, Jr.

MANCHESTER – Preston L. Troup, Jr., 72, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at his home. He was the husband of Brenda D. (Romich) Troup. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry with Pastor Brian Willison officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry. Born August 10, 1941 in Fairview Twp., a son of the late Violetta (Topper) and Preston L. Troup, Sr., he had owned and operated YorkCo Auto Repair in Strinestown. Preston was an avid bowler, bingo player, and fan of local stock car racing and the Philadelphia Eagles. He was a talented woodworker whose skills showed through in the many toys and crafts he made for his family. Mr. Troup enjoyed attending flea markets and loved spending time with his grandsons. He loved children and had a big heart. Mr. Troup is survived by a daughter, Kelly and husband Matt Smith of Airville; three grandsons, Dillon, Owen, and Elijah Young; two brothers, Ken and Rich; and nine sisters, Cathy, Donna, Jean, Deb, Shirley, Darlene, Helen, Carolyn, and Bonnie. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia and Linda.
