Preston E. Pret" Saylor

Red Lion- Preston E. "Pret" Saylor, 85, of Red Lion, passed away Wednesday at his home. He was the loving husband of Anna L. (Spyker) Saylor. The couple celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary this July 24th. Preston was born in Chanceford Twp. on August 31, 1921, a son of late Harry and Mary (Myers) Saylor. He was a U.S. Army veteran and on July 24, 1948, Pret married Anna L. Spyker. He was employed with the Red Lion Table Co. for 24 years and at Zell's for 12 years as a woodworker. He enjoyed hunting and making woodwork crafts at home. In addition to his wife, Anna, he is survived by a daughter Betty M. and her husband, Charles Knokey, Jr.; two grandchildren, Michelle and her husband David Brodbeck of York Haven, and Michael Knokey of Dover; four great grandchildren and one step great grandchild; and two brothers, Emory Saylor and his wife, Dora of Red Lion and Fredrick Saylor and his wife, Ginny of York. Preceding him in death are his two brothers, Ore Saylor and Paul Saylor. The tribute service is private and at the convenience of the family. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Gotham Rd.
