Preston E. Neff

RED LION - Preston E. Neff, 84, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Evelyn L. (Arnold) Neff. The couple planned to celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary on November 26th. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Red Lion Zion United Methodist Church, 1155 Felton Rd., Red Lion with Pastor David Kominsky officiating. A viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Born on September 2, 1928 in Windsor Twp., he was a son of the late John S. and Phoebe (Wambaugh) Neff. Preston was a plumber for Clyde Taylor and later worked maintenance at the House of Windsor for 24 years until his retirement. Mr. Neff was a member of Red Lion Zion United Methodist Church where he served as Sunday School Secretary and on the Board of Trustees. He volunteered for a number of years for the Red Lion Area Ambulance Association. Preston was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed gardening flowers and vegetables. Along with his wife, Evelyn, Mr. Neff is survived by two sons, Keith Neff and his wife, Jane of Red Lion and Randy Neff and his wife Sue of Red Lion; two daughters, Susan Druck and her husband, Eugene of Red Lion and Debra Clark and her husband, David of Willow Street; eight grandchildren, Karen Chilton, Julie Neff, Michael Druck, Angela Gouker, Kristi Neff, Ryan Heck, Sherri Rauch and Denise Nolt; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
