Preston Claude Miller

OWASSO, OK- Preston Claude "Bob" Miller, local resident of Owasso, Oklahoma, entered into his eternal rest Sunday, August 17, 2008, at the age 87 years. He was born November 21, 1920, at Windsor, to Chester S. and Maggie F. (Olewiler) Miller. He was married December 24, 1941, in Windsor to Nettie Mae Spyker, where they spent most of their life before moving to Owasso, OK in 2002. He was employed for many years by Warner Brothers Dairy of Red Lion until it was sold to Rutter's. He then worked for the Warner family at the Red Lion Bus Company until his retirement in 2002. He was deeply committed to the Windsor Church of God where he was a faithful member, having served more than 25 years on the church council and was the church chorister for 22 years. He was a devoted caregiver to his wife in the final seven years of her life. Mr. Miller enjoyed a variety of pastimes including reading. He had a heart to help people in need and gave generously to causes he deemed worthy. Loving family members include: His daughter and son-in-law; Faye and James Loyd, of Owasso, OK; two grandsons; Cary J. Loyd and his wife Kathryn, of Harrisburg, PA and Mark L. Loyd and his wife Holly, of Tulsa, OK; five great grandchildren; Nathaniel and Trevor Loyd, of Harrisburg, PA and Amanda, Allyson, and Jodianne Loyd of Tulsa, OK; and sister; Fairie Grove, of York, PA He was preceded in death by wife of 63 years, Nettie, and 12 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2008, at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham PL., Red Lion. A viewing will be at the funeral home Saturday from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Committal services and interment will follow in the Windsor Church of God Cemetery, Windsor.
