Preston A. Kohler

Airville—Preston A. "Skip" Kohler, 90, died Monday, January 14, 2008 at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Dorothy M. (Clarkson) Kohler. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with the Rev. David A. Walker of McKendree United Methodist Church in Airville, officiating. Viewings will be from 7-9 p.m., Friday, and from 9-10 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be held in McKendree Cemetery. Mr. Kohler was born September 23, 1917 in Chanceford Township, a son of the late Ervin C. and Margie V. (Snyder) Kohler. He was employed with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a Truck Driver for 18 years, until his retirement in 1980. An avid farmer, he also enjoyed gardening. Mr. Kohler is survived by one son, Ronald P. Kohler of E. Berlin, two daughters, Patricia L. Smith of Dover and Cindy J. Kohler of Airville, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, one sister, C. Romaine Heffner of Airville and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters.
