Phyllis S. (Ott) Walton

YORK - Phyllis S. (Ott) Walton, a wife, mother, and homemaker passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at York Lutheran Home at Sprenkle Drive. She was 91. Her gentle hand of grace was always extended. She lovingly cared for her parents, the late Charles W. "Bill" and Nettie I. (Diehl) Ott and her late husband William Eugene Walton who passed away in 1990. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Everhart Jackson Heffner Funeral Home, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with her visitation pastor, The Rev. Diane G. Wenthe officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Born October 17, 1917 in York, Mrs. Walton was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church; Lincoln Fire Co., Ladies Auxiliary; and York Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She will be remembered by her family as an extraordinary woman who had many friends and lived life with grace and quiet dignity. Her generous heart, engaging smile and friendly spirit will sorely be missed forever. Mrs. Walton is survived by her daughter, Pat Doria of San Diego, CA; two granddaughters, Kym Milburn and Stephanie McLaughlin and their families of San Diego.
