Phyllis R. Zimmerman

YORK—Phyllis R. (Snyder) Zimmerman, 94, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024 at Amoroso Wellness of York. She was the wife of the late Ronald M. Zimmerman.

Born October 26, 1929 in York, she was the daughter of the late Marvin E. and Myrtle E. (Eberly) Snyder of Adamsville

She was employed with Motor Freight Express for many years as an office clerk and later went on to work at Tasty Snack in Windsor until her retirement.

Phyllis loved spending time with her family, from shopping with her husband to cooking Sunday dinners for Timmy and Chrissy, she cherished every moment. She also enjoyed decorating for holidays and playing cards.

Mrs. Zimmerman is survived by one son, Timothy I. Burkins and his wife, Christine of Felton and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Bruce Snyder and two sisters, Mildred Anderson and Carolyn Godfrey.

Mrs. Zimmerman’s family would like to thank all the staff of Amoroso Wellness for their outstanding care provided to Phyllis over the past year.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.
