YORK- Phyllis I. (Olewiler) McCleary, 84, of Springettsbury Township, formerly of Red Lion, died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Elwood E. McCleary, Sr. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 2-3 p.m. Certified Celebrant Betty Frey will be officiating at the service. Burial will be private in St. Paul’s Zeigler’s Cemetery in Seven Valleys. Mrs. McCleary was born in Lower Windsor Twp. on August 4, 1928, daughter of the late George and Alda (Smeltzer) Olewiler. She retired from Pleasant Acres Nursing Home where she worked in housekeeping. Mrs. McCleary leaves a son, Elwood E. McCleary, Jr. and his wife Susan of Red Lion; a granddaughter, Tracie Anderson and her husband Jason; a great grandson, Luke Anderson; and two sisters, Edith Grim of Dallastown and Ada Grove of Red Lion. Memorial Contributions may be made to York County Veterans in Need, 100 West Market Street, York, PA 17401.
