Phyllis I. (Coble) Zold

LEWISBERRY- Phyllis I. (Coble) Zold, 89, formerly of Fairview Township, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Church of God Home in Carlisle. She was the wife of the late Robert L. “Louie” Zold to whom she was married 67 years. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, 305 W. Front St., Lewisberry, with a viewing from 10-11 AM. Pastor Terry O. Frederick will be officiating the service. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery. Mrs. Zold was born in Enola on December 31, 1928, the daughter of the late Victor and Frances (Laverty) Coble. Phyllis graduated from New Cumberland High School in the class of 1946. She worked many years for the former American Can Company of Lemoyne. Phyllis and Louie loved to travel and take pictures of the places they visited. They had a wonderful life together and will be dearly missed by their family and friends. Mrs. Zold is survived by three children, Robert D. Zold of Lewisberry, Andrea E. Karns and her husband James of Mechanicsburg, and Betty Cook of Gettysburg, her daughter whom she loved as her own; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by a great grandson, Samuel Cook, and son-in-law, John Cook.
