Phyllis E. Meyers

MILL HALL - Phyllis E. (Poorman) Meyers, 81, passed away Thursday evening, Oct., 6, 2016 at her residence. She was born August 24, 1935 in Lock Haven a daughter of the late Vernon and Nellie (Lomax) Poorman-Shaffer. Phyllis was married to John W. Meyers. They celebrated 61 ½ years of marriage together. Phyllis worked as a cashier for Weis Markets in Lock Haven for 18 years. She was a member of the Mill Hall United Methodist Church. Phyllis enjoyed collecting Boyds Bears, baking and she was known for her fudge recipe. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are her loving husband Johnny; one son Timothy (Penny) Meyers and a daughter Holly (William) Barrett both of Mill Hall. Six grandchildren Brian, Brad, Timmy, Matt, Tom and Jordan also six great grandchildren. One brother Vernon Poorman of W. Palm Beach, FL. Her stepfather Richard Shaffer preceded Phyllis in death. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Mill Hall United Methodist Church, 212 Danis Street, Mill Hall, PA 17751. At the request of the deceased there will be no services.
