YORK- Phyllis E. (Losey) Chesnut, 82 of York Township, died Sunday, March 10, 2013 surrounded by family after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Harold W. Chesnut. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 1-2 p.m. Pastor Stanley D. Reep will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. Mrs. Chesnut was born in Springfield, Ohio on October 5, 1930, the daughter of the late Roy and Nina (Rhodes) Losey. She retired from J.C. Penny where she was an Invoice Clerk with 28 years of service. Following retirement, she worked as a Pharmacy Clerk at both Rite Aid and CVS. Mrs. Chesnut was a 1949 Graduate of McClain High School in Greenfield, OH. Mrs. Chesnut leaves a son, Steven Chesnut and his wife Jackie of York; a daughter, Cynthia Vaught and her husband Kem of York; four grandchildren, Heather Nance, Steven Chesnut, Jr., Amber Vaught, and Brittany Vaught; two great grandchildren, Matthew Nance and Kylie Nance. She was preceded in death by a special friend, Nevin Rohrbaugh, a sister, Mildred Truitt, and two brothers, Harold and Bill Losey. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 25 Springettsbury Ave., York, PA 17403.
