Phyllis D. (Doll) Kilburn

York—Phyllis D. (Doll) Kilburn, 78, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017 at her residence in W. Manchester Twp. She was the wife of H. Thomas Kilburn to whom she was married for 53 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:30PM, Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York with her pastor, the Rev. Jane A. Harrison officiating. A viewing will be held from 12:30-1:30PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Born July 6, 1938 in York, she was a daughter of the late Harry E. and Anna G. (Parr) Doll. She was employed as a Government Shipping Specialist with Johnson Controls, formerly Borg Warner for 43 years until her retirement in 1999. A member of Lewisberry United Methodist Church, she was also secretary of the church’s Ladies Circle and a member of Borg Warner’s 25 year club. An avid civil war enthusiast, she also enjoyed tea parties, antiquing, crafting sweatshirts and writing poetry. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Kilburn is also survived by one son, T. Edward Kilburn and wife, Cathy of Pennsburg; one daughter, Tara L. Schriver and husband, William of Shiloh; seven grandsons: Zachary, Cody and Camryn Moss of York, Steve and Brandon Kilburn of York, Robert Cannon of Pennsburg and Ryan Schriver of York; two great granddaughters, Amaya Kilburn and Bella Moss; and one brother, Leroy Doll and wife, Phyllis of Dover. She was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Doll.
