Philomena 'Phyllis' (Mastronardo) Gundrum

MILTON - Philomena “Phyllis” (Mastronardo) Gundrum, 91, died Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Kramm Health and Rehab, Milton. She was born on October 22, 1921 in the Bronx, NY and was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Vincenza (Bianco) Mastronardo. Phyllis married the late Richard L. Gundrum, Sr. on March 3, 1946 and they celebrated 44 years of marriage until his death on August 4, 1990. She worked as a Mental Health Social worker for Milton Developmental Services for 13 years and retired in 1993. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Milton. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, walking and especially her grandchildren. Phyllis is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law; Richard L. and Vivian Gundrum, Jr. of Conshohocken and Stephen W. and Frances Gundrum of Port Trevorton, four daughters and two sons-in-law; Patricia A. Silbaugh of King of Prussia, Sharon K. and Jay Harris of Selinsgrove, Debra M. and Otar Sarishvili of Coppell, TX and Lisa A. Gundrum of Ambler, nine grandchildren; Stefanie Dawson and husband Dale, Janelle Gundrum, Angel Bettleyon, Sarah Minchella and husband Steven, Justin Varner, Jordan Harris, Logan Harris, Giorgy Sarishvili and Joseph Schlagnhaufer, four great-grandchildren; Taylor Dawson, Tyler Dawson, Summer Dawson and River Dawson, one sister; Anna Gallo of Long Island, NY and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by three brothers; Arthudo, Giovanni and Vincenzo and two sisters; Rosina and Giovanna. A Mass of Christian burial will take place 10:30a.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 109 Broadway Street, Milton, PA 17847, with the Reverend John D. Hoke officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Milton. Arrangements are under the direction of The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton, PA 17847.
