Phillip Goforth

MANCHESTER-Phillip Goforth, 59, loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2014. He will be forever loved by his wife Peg of 36 years; his son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Steph; his daughter and son-in-law, Meg and Dustin Ward; his brothers, Neal, Ron, and Mark; his favorite greyhound, Abby; and many nieces and nephews, friends and more family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Arlene Goforth and his brother, Brad. Phil was an avid soccer player, coach, ref, and fan. He enjoyed singing and playing guitar and banjo. He loved spending time helping people find the perfect shoe at Flying Feet Sports Shoes. His sense of humor rivaled that of the best comedians. Let us not mourn the passing of this special man. Let us celebrate his wonderful life. A visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York.
