Philip L. Bragg

YORK- Philip L. Bragg, 87, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012 at Manor Care North. He was the husband of Olive L. (Sutton) Bragg. The couple celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on June 26. Services for Mr. Bragg are private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on October 12, 1924, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Helen (Conklin) Bragg. Philip worked as a Patient Accounts Manager for St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, NJ until his retirement. Mr. Bragg served our country in the U. S. Navy and later the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII Mr. Bragg was a member of Our Lady of Victory in Tannersville, PA. He enjoyed gardening, reading, opera and spending time with his grandchildren. Along with is wife, Olive, Philip is survived by one daughter, Pamela Gulyas and her husband, Mario of Dover; three grandchildren, Collette A. Bragg, Brian P. Gulyas and Sean W. Gulyas all at home; two step grandchildren, Alison Gulyas and Kevin Gulyas both of Costa Rica; a niece, Elizabeth McBay of Blue Spring, Missouri; and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Rhodes. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, York County Division, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603
