Peter Joseph Achey

WILKES-BARRE-Peter Joseph Achey, 55, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 at his home. Born in Wilkes-Barre on September 23, 1958, he was a son of Ann (Konnick) Achey and the late Peter Achey. Peter was a graduate of Meyers High School and worked as a self-employed auto mechanic . He enjoyed Jeeps, four wheeling and gardening. Peter was especially passionate about competing in mud bogs, which he won several trophies for. He was preceded in death by his father, Peter Achey. Left to honor Peter’s memory is his mother, Ann (Konnick) Achey; son, Peter William Achey, Jr.; sisters, Paula Williams and husband, Daniel and Pamela Baldo and husband, David; nieces, Ramah and Rebekah Williams, Zyrah and Victoria Baldo and nephews, Michael Peter, David and Nicolas Baldo; and ex-wife, Patti Achey. A Parastas Service celebrating his life will be held Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. from Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main St, Wilkes-Barre. Family and friends may call from 10:00-10:30 A.M. The Reverend David Hester will be officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Antiochian Cemetery. Family and friends may visit Tuesday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
