Peter J. Rock

LOCK HAVEN - Peter J. Rock, 70, passed away on April 13, 2012 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center. Peter was born on December 4, 1941, a son of the late George Henry and Catharine (Fickes) Rock in Brooklyn, NY. Peter was a veteran of the Pennsylvania National Guard and served seven years during the Vietnam War. Peter married the former Janet White on September 1, 1962 and enjoyed 49 years of marriage. Peter was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. Family meant so much to Peter and he will be greatly missed and forever loved by all, especially his loving grand daughters whom they called “PaPa”. In earlier years, Peter worked at Woolrich, Inc. in the engineering department for 42 years and retired in the Spring of 2002. Peter is survived by his loving wife, Janet (White) Rock. In addition he is survived by a daughter; Catharine R. Cole (Donald) and two grand daughters: Hannah J. Cole and Avery G. Cole; a sister: Susan K. (William) Nestel, one brother-in-law Harry (Mabel) White, one sister-in law Dolly (Robert) Saiers, all of Lock Haven and several nieces and nephews that he held a special place in his heart. Peter is preceded in death by his parents. All services are private and arrangements are entrusted with the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall.
