Dover—Peter J. Dilkus, 66, died Friday, October 2, 2009 at his residence in Dover Township. He was the husband of Paulette Y. (Caisse) Dilkus whom he was married to for 44 years. A celebration of life service will be held private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, is in charge of arrangements. Born July 13, 1943 in Elizabeth, NJ, he is the son of Domicela (Gelicus) Dilkus and the late Peter J. Dilkus. He served in the United States Army as part of the Army Security Agency and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired in 1992 from AWI after several years of employment as an advertising director and was previously employed with J.F. Martin and Sons as an account executive. A member of the Free and Accepted Masons-Morning Star Lodge, Worcester, MA and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite 32nd degree-Valley of Boston, he was also a member of the Shiloh American Legion-Post 791 and Academy of Model Aeronautics. He enjoyed fishing, flying remote control airplanes, wood working and was a HAM radio operator. In addition to his wife, Mr. Dilkus is also survived by one son Christopher P. Dilkus and his wife Rachel of New Jersey, one sister, Madeline Henne of New Jersey and several nieces and nephews.
