Pelagia Jean (Urban) Franklin

YORK – Pelagia J. (Urban) Franklin, 63, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Wayne E. Franklin to whom she was married for 42 years. Funeral services and burial will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born December 14, 1948 in Pottsville, a daughter of Mary Anthony of Pottsville and the late John Urban, she was a 1967 graduate of Pottsville High School. Pelagia enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Franklin is survived by a daughter, Alexis Y. Franklin of Dover; two sons, Duane E. and wife Laura Franklin of Red Lion and Damon P. and wife Sheri Franklin of York; three grandchildren, Ryann Green, Austin and Olivia Franklin; a sister, Judy Henry of Chambersburg; and a half brother, Brian Anthony of Pottsville.
